Aluminum foil fiberglass cloth is a functional material composed of aluminum foil and fiberglass cloth, which combines the high reflectivity of aluminum foil with the high temperature resistance and tensile strength of fiberglass. It is widely used in fields such as insulation, thermal insulation, fire prevention, and electromagnetic shielding. Its core structure is a composite of aluminum foil layer and fiberglass cloth substrate through a special process. The aluminum foil layer is responsible for reflecting thermal radiation (with a reflectivity of over 90%), while the fiberglass cloth provides mechanical support and temperature resistance. It can usually withstand high temperature environments of 200 ℃ -600 ℃, depending on the grade of fiberglass cloth.
Heat reflection performance: Aluminum foil has a smooth surface and strong conductivity, which can effectively reflect thermal radiation such as infrared and visible light, reducing heat transfer. For example, laying aluminum foil fiberglass cloth on the roof of a building can lower indoor temperatures by 5-10 ℃ in summer and reduce heating losses in winter.
Temperature resistance and flame retardancy: Glass fiber cloth is an inorganic material with a melting point exceeding 1000 ℃, and it does not burn or produce toxic gases. The composite aluminum foil fiberglass cloth usually meets the A-level non combustible standard (GB8624-2012) and is suitable for scenarios with strict fire protection requirements.
Mechanical strength: The tensile strength of fiberglass cloth can reach 500-2000N/5cm (depending on the thickness), combined with the flexibility of aluminum foil, it can be bent and folded without being easily damaged, making it convenient for construction.
Excellent insulation and heat reflection: The aluminum foil layer has a reflectivity of over 90% for far-infrared thermal radiation, significantly reducing heat conduction and suitable for insulation and heat preservation scenarios.
High temperature resistance and flame retardancy: Glass fiber substrate can withstand temperatures up to -196 ℃ to 300 ℃ (some products can reach 500-600 ℃), complying with GB8624 A1 or DIN4102 A1 non combustible standards, and self extinguishing upon ignition.
High strength and flexibility are combined: the longitudinal and transverse tensile strength can reach 8000 × 6000 N/5cm, the texture is firm and not easy to tear, while maintaining a certain degree of flexibility for easy construction.
Good moisture resistance and sealing: The aluminum foil layer achieves near zero water vapor permeability, making it impermeable and non breathable, effectively blocking moisture and protecting the core material (such as rock wool and glass wool).
Strong corrosion resistance and weather resistance: treated with anti-corrosion coating or polyethylene hot air composite process, resistant to acid and alkali, mold and suitable for humid, industrial or outdoor environments.
Lightweight and easy to construct: The thickness is usually 0.25-3.0 mm, and the weight is 75-2000 g/m ². It can be cut and bonded, and is commonly used for air duct wrapping, pipeline insulation, equipment protection, etc.
