The manufacturing process of materials requires certain process control. Choose glass fiber cloth of appropriate specifications as the substrate, requiring a flat surface and uniform fibers. Then, the high-purity aluminum material is rolled into thin and continuous aluminum foil. Next, evenly apply adhesive onto the fiberglass cloth and smoothly adhere the aluminum foil onto it. By heating and applying pressure to firmly bond the two, and then going through processes such as cooling, winding, and cutting, aluminum foil fiberglass cloth rolls of different specifications are produced. The entire production process has certain requirements for environmental cleanliness, temperature, and humidity to ensure stable product quality.
The performance characteristics of aluminum foil fiberglass cloth are mainly reflected in the following aspects. One is the temperature resistance performance. Due to the high temperature tolerance of glass fiber cloth and the high melting point of aluminum foil, this composite material can maintain structural stability over a wide temperature range and is not easily melted or decomposed. The second is the reflection and barrier performance. The aluminum foil layer has a good reflection effect on light, especially thermal radiation. It can effectively block the permeation of water vapor, gases, and certain liquids. The third is mechanical performance. Fiberglass cloth endows the material with certain tensile strength and tear resistance, making it less prone to damage during installation and use. The fourth is chemical corrosion resistance. Glass fiber and aluminum exhibit good stability against many common chemicals and are not easily corroded. Five is relatively lightweight. Compared to many metal sheets, aluminum foil fiberglass cloth is lighter in weight and easier to transport and construct.
Excellent insulation and heat reflection: The aluminum foil layer has a reflectivity of over 90% for far-infrared thermal radiation, significantly reducing heat conduction and suitable for insulation and heat preservation scenarios.
High temperature resistance and flame retardancy: Glass fiber substrate can withstand temperatures up to -196 ℃ to 300 ℃ (some products can reach 500-600 ℃), complying with GB8624 A1 or DIN4102 A1 non combustible standards, and self extinguishing upon ignition.
High strength and flexibility are combined: the longitudinal and transverse tensile strength can reach 8000 × 6000 N/5cm, the texture is firm and not easy to tear, while maintaining a certain degree of flexibility for easy construction.
Good moisture resistance and sealing: The aluminum foil layer achieves near zero water vapor permeability, making it impermeable and non breathable, effectively blocking moisture and protecting the core material (such as rock wool and glass wool).
Strong corrosion resistance and weather resistance: treated with anti-corrosion coating or polyethylene hot air composite process, resistant to acid and alkali, mold and suitable for humid, industrial or outdoor environments.
Lightweight and easy to construct: The thickness is usually 0.25-3.0 mm, and the weight is 75-2000 g/m ². It can be cut and bonded, and is commonly used for air duct wrapping, pipeline insulation, equipment protection, etc.
