Its production process is rigorous, aiming to ensure that the two materials are tightly combined and exert synergistic effects:
1. Raw material preparation: Select specific specifications of alkali free glass fiber yarn (with better electrical performance and mechanical strength) and small-diameter steel wire that has undergone surface treatment (such as galvanizing, copper plating to prevent rust and enhance adhesion with resin).
2. Weaving or composite process: This is the core step. Special weaving equipment is usually used to interweave glass fiber yarn with steel wire in a predetermined warp and weft arrangement. Common structures include: steel wires woven uniformly into fiberglass cloth as warp or weft threads; Alternatively, glass fiber cloth can be made first, and then the steel wire mesh can be bonded or needle punched onto the surface of the cloth. The process control needs to ensure that the steel wire is evenly distributed, accurately positioned, and firmly bonded with the glass fiber.
3. Post processing: The woven fabric may undergo immersion coating treatment, such as coating with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane (PU), or silicone, to further enhance its weather resistance, waterproofing, chemical resistance, or change its surface friction coefficient.
4. Inspection and Forming: After rigorous physical performance testing (such as tensile strength, tear resistance, weight per unit area, wire spacing, etc.), it is cut and rolled according to customer requirements.
1. High strength and high modulus: Combining the high tensile strength of glass fiber and the support toughness of steel wire, the finished fabric has high mechanical strength and modulus, which can withstand large loads without deformation or fracture.
2. Good dimensional stability: The material is less affected by temperature and humidity changes, has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, and can maintain long-term stability in shape and size. It is suitable for occasions that require dimensional accuracy.
3. Excellent corrosion resistance: Glass fiber itself has good resistance to most chemicals such as acids, alkalis, and salts, which makes composite materials stable in most corrosive environments (non strong hydrofluoric acid or strong alkali long-term effects) and have a long service life. If stainless steel wire is used, the corrosion resistance is better.
4. Impact resistance and fatigue resistance: The addition of steel wire significantly improves the brittleness of pure glass fiber materials, enhancing their ability to resist dynamic impact and repeated loads (fatigue resistance).
5. Non flammability and insulation: Glass fiber is an inorganic material that does not burn and can have a flame retardant effect. It has good electrical insulation performance.
