Product Description

 

Glass fiber steel wire cloth is a composite material product, which is usually composed of glass fiber yarn and high carbon steel wire combined through a specific weaving process. This material combines the corrosion resistance, insulation, and lightweight properties of glass fiber with the high strength, impact resistance, and dimensional stability of steel wire, thus demonstrating unique application value in multiple industrial and construction fields.


1. Fiberglass base fabric: This is its "skeleton". Glass fiber itself has excellent tensile strength, non flammability, corrosion resistance, and dimensional stability. It is not afraid of insect infestation, does not mold, and has good resistance to most chemicals. Weaving into a grid pattern is to better integrate with other materials and provide uniform force distribution.

 

2. Polymer coating: This layer of coating wraps around the glass fiber yarn and plays multiple roles. Firstly, it is to protect the brittle glass fiber yarn from breaking easily during bending and friction; Secondly, it is crucial to endow fabrics with better alkali resistance, which is essential for their application in alkaline environments such as cement and gypsum; Furthermore, it improves the surface characteristics of the fabric, making it easier to bond tightly with various adhesives and mortars.

 

3. Galvanized steel wire: This is the key "reinforcement bar". The embedded galvanized steel wire (usually longitudinally or bidirectionally embedded) greatly enhances the overall tensile strength and impact resistance of the fabric. Galvanizing treatment is to prevent steel wire from rusting in humid environments, ensuring its long-term reliability. The addition of steel wire enables this fabric to withstand greater stress, which is incomparable to ordinary fiberglass cloth.

 

 

 

Features

 

High strength and dimensional stability: The introduction of steel wire significantly enhances the overall tensile strength and tear resistance of the fabric. Even under stress, it is not prone to significant deformation or damage and can maintain shape stability for a long time.

 

Excellent temperature resistance: Glass fiber itself is non flammable, heat-resistant, and has a high softening point. This enables the composite fabric to be used for a long time at working temperatures of several hundred degrees or even higher, without melting or losing strength, and only the carbonization of the organic coating may occur.

 

Good chemical corrosion resistance: Glass fiber has good resistance to most acids, alkalis, salts, and organic solvents, and is not easily corroded. If stainless steel wire is used, its corrosion resistance will be more satisfactory to users.

 

Insulation and wave transmission: Glass fiber is an excellent electrical insulator and also has good electromagnetic wave transmission performance. This makes the material suitable for specific occasions that require electromagnetic shielding or wave transmission, while ensuring electrical safety.

 

Flexibility and processability: Despite its high strength, thanks to its fabric structure, it still has a certain degree of flexibility and can cut, sew, and wrap complex shaped objects, making construction relatively convenient.
