Product Description

Silicone coated fiberglass fabric is a composite material built on a woven E-Glass fiberglass base and finished with a silicone rubber coating. It combines the mechanical strength of fiberglass with the heat and weather resistance of silicone.

Base cloth: woven from drawn molten glass filament, the fabric offers high tensile strength, chemical resistance and dimensional stability. A twill weave gives a smooth, drapeable surface that is easy to cut and fold.

Silicone coating: the polysiloxane coating is applied by dip coating and scraping so it bonds tightly to the glass cloth, sealing the surface and preventing the skin irritation common to bare fiberglass.

Process: high strength E-Glass fiberglass yarn is twill woven into a base cloth, then coated with silicone on both sides to form a dense weather resistant layer. The surface is level and flexible, easy to fold and cut, and does not delaminate or chalk after long term use. It will not spread flame on direct fire contact and effectively blocks high temperature radiation and heat conduction.

The finished sheet is heat resistant, waterproof and oil resistant, flexible and dimensionally stable, with good electrical insulation and a durable silicone surface.

Heat And Weather Resistant: stable long term service from -70C to 280C with excellent thermal insulation and low heat conduction.

High Strength And Flexibility: keeps warp at least 7000 N/5cm and weft at least 6000 N/5cm yet stays soft to cut, fold and bend.

Waterproof And Oil Resistant: the sealed silicone surface repels water, oil and grease and is easy to wipe clean.

Chemical Resistance: resists common acids, alkalis and solvents.

Electrical Insulation: high dielectric strength and stable insulation performance.

Fire Retardant: non flammable glass base and flame retardant coating resist sparks and radiant heat.

Aging And Weather Resistance: resists ozone, UV and weather aging for a long service life.

Customizable: weight, thickness, width and color can be tailored to order.
