Product Description

 

Fiberglass is widely recognized for its exceptional ability to resist the flow of heat, a property known as thermal conductivity. Unlike metals, which quickly transfer heat, fiberglass has a very low thermal conductivity - typically around 0.035 to 0.04 W/m·K. This means that when heat comes into contact with fiberglass fabric, it passes through very slowly, allowing the material to act as an effective thermal barrier.
 
The insulating performance of fiberglass is further enhanced by its woven structure. Tiny pockets of air trapped between the glass fibers act as additional barriers to heat transfer, since air itself is a poor conductor of heat.
 
This unique combination of glass composition and structural design allows fiberglass fabrics to protect surfaces, equipment, and personnel from extreme temperatures. Because of this low thermal conductivity, fiberglass finds extensive use in applications ranging from industrial insulation in furnaces and pipelines to protective clothing and welding blankets.
 
By slowing down heat transfer, it not only improves energy efficiency but also enhances safety, preventing burns and minimizing fire hazards. This property, coupled with its non-combustible nature, is what makes fiberglass a preferred choice wherever high-temperature protection is critical.

 

 

Features

 

Excellent resin permeability: After removing wax, the fibers are exposed, allowing epoxy resin, silicone resin and other matrix materials to fully penetrate, significantly improving the dry and wet mechanical strength of the laminated board and avoiding delamination defects.

High temperature resistance and thermal stability: No organic wax residue, long-term use temperature can reach 300 ℃~500 ℃ (depending on the glass fiber model), instantaneous temperature resistance is higher, and no volatiles or carbonization are produced at high temperatures, with good dimensional stability.

High electrical insulation performance: no conductive impurities on the surface, stable dielectric performance, high breakdown voltage, suitable for high-frequency circuit substrates and high-voltage electrical insulation wrapping.

Clean and dust-free surface: After dewaxing and subsequent water washing treatment, the fabric surface is smooth, hairless, and stain free, reducing fiber dust and facilitating subsequent coating and laminating processes, resulting in a smoother appearance of the finished product. ‌‌

Color characteristics: After dewaxing treatment at 300 ℃~400 ℃, the finished product usually appears golden yellow or light brown, which is different from white or light yellow cloth that has not been dewaxed.

Chemical stability: retain the inherent acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, non combustible characteristics of glass fiber, strong anti-aging ability, and long service life.

Processing adaptability: The texture is relatively soft (compared to untreated stiff fabric), easy to cut, sew, and punch, suitable for complex shape forming. ‌‌

Proofing is usually 3-5 working days. If the order reach or exceed behind MOQ quantity, proofing fee refunded. If not reached behind MOQ quantity, proofing fee will be taken by you.
