Twill Fiberglass Fabric 200g Square Meter Heat Resistant Cloth For Fireproof Resin Products
The high-quality step is the production of fiberglass. Melt selected mineral raw materials into a uniform glass liquid in a kiln at temperatures above 1600 degrees Celsius. Then, the glass liquid flows through a platinum rhodium alloy channel with a porous leakage plate, flows out from the micropores, and is pulled at high speed to form extremely fine primary glass fibers. After being coated and bundled with a wetting agent (a solution containing binders, lubricants, and other components), continuous glass fiber yarns are formed.
The second step is weaving. These glass fiber yarns are wound onto a yarn rack as warp and weft yarns and fed into a weaving machine. According to the requirements of the final product, different weaving methods can be used, such as plain weave, twill weave, or satin weave. Plain weave is the most compact and structurally stable; Twill fabric has a softer hand feel; Satin fabric has a smoother surface. After weaving is completed, depending on the purpose, subsequent heat treatment (excluding textile type wetting agents) or surface chemical treatment (coating coupling agents, etc.) may be required to enhance its bonding strength with resin and other substrates.
*High strength and high modulus: This is one of the most significant characteristics of fiberglass cloth. Although it originates from brittle glass, once pulled into extremely fine fibers, its strength will be greatly enhanced. After weaving into fabric, it exhibits excellent tensile strength, which means it is not easily pulled apart. Its modulus is very high, which means it is not easily deformed under stress and has good dimensional stability.
*Heat resistance and flame retardancy: Glass fiber cloth itself is an inorganic non-metallic material with high heat resistance. It does not burn and can maintain its structural integrity in high temperature environments, with a melting point typically reaching several hundred degrees Celsius or higher. This makes it an indispensable material in the fields of high-temperature insulation and fire prevention.
*Corrosion resistance: Glass fiber cloth has good resistance to most chemicals except hydrofluoric acid and concentrated alkaline solution, and is not easily corroded. This makes it highly applicable in chemical environments, wastewater treatment, and other settings.
*Electrical insulation: Glass fiber is an excellent electrical insulator and does not conduct electricity. The fabric woven from it also has good electrical insulation properties and is widely used in the electronic and electrical industry for circuit boards, insulation sleeves, etc.
*Dimensional stability and resistance to creep: Under normal temperature and usage conditions, glass fiber cloth hardly absorbs moisture and has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, so its shape and size are minimally affected by changes in environmental temperature and humidity. It also has strong resistance to slow deformation (i.e. creep) under long-term loads.
